What are the structural features of the manual air valve body

May 13,2024

Manual gas valve is a common type of valve in industrial production. Its main purpose is to control the flow of gas. In manual air valves, the valve body is a vital component, which assumes the important functions of support, flow guidance and sealing.
The valve body structural features of manual air valves mainly include the following aspects:
First of all, material selection is an important factor in determining the performance of the manual air valve body. Generally speaking, the valve body of a manual air valve is usually made of cast iron, stainless steel or copper to ensure its corrosion resistance and pressure resistance. Cast iron materials have good strength and corrosion resistance and are suitable for general industrial applications. Stainless steel materials have good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, and are suitable for some special industrial environments. Copper materials have good thermal and electrical conductivity and are suitable for some applications that require thermal or electrical conductivity.
Secondly, the valve body structure of manual air valves mainly includes two types: one-piece type and split type. The one-piece structure means that the valve body and the valve cover are made as a whole, while the split structure means that the valve body and the valve cover are manufactured separately and connected together through threads or flanges. The one-piece structure has the advantages of simple structure and low manufacturing cost, and is suitable for some small and low-voltage applications. The split structure is more flexible, easy to repair and replace, and is suitable for some large and high-pressure applications.
Third, the valve body of the manual air valve needs to have sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand internal and external pressure and load. The design and manufacturing of the valve body need to take into account the working conditions and medium characteristics, and select appropriate materials and structural forms to ensure the strength and rigidity of the valve body.
Fourth, the flow diversion performance is one of the important indicators of the manual air valve body. The internal flow channel design of the valve body needs to be reasonable to reduce flow resistance and pressure loss. Some special valve body structures, such as ball valves, butterfly valves, etc., can provide better flow diversion performance.
Finally, sealing performance is also an important consideration for manual air valve bodies. The connection between the valve body and the valve cover as well as the connection between the valve body and the valve core or valve plate requires the use of sealing gaskets or sealing structures to ensure the sealing performance of the valve body. The selection and installation quality of the sealing gasket directly affect the sealing effect of the valve body.
